Meet Dr. Atoian

Andre Atoian, MD, DABAM is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Addiction Medicine. He completed medical school at the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and residency training in Anesthesiology at the Keck School of Medicine at USC. Dr. Atoian pursued additional training at USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in anesthesia-assisted opioid detoxification to better provide compassionate care for those suffering at the end of life.

Prior to his medical studies, Dr. Atoian studied neuropsychopharmacology at the prestigious College of Creative Studies at UCSB, where he received a National Science Foundation grant for his innovative research in identifying novel pain medicines and their link to depression.

Dr. Atoian understands that depression, pain, and addiction are all different sides of the same coin, but that at the center of it all is a person, not a condition. He takes an integrative approach to whole-person care, and custom-tailors a treatment plan to ensure his patients have the long-term support they need to overcome opioid dependency.

With over a decade of experience and thousands of patients successfully treated, Dr. Atoian’s unique background in psychopharmacology, anesthesiology, pain, and addiction medicine gives him the skills and knowledge to safely and compassionately help his patients overcome opioid dependency.
